This class is the highest certification for open circuit divers wishing to dive to depths as deep as 100 metres/330 feet using hypoxic levels of oxygen (below 17%).

This information and challenging course is designed for a trimix or extended range diver who needs to extend their depth range or further advance their technical diving education and skills

Course prerequisites:

Extended range or trimix diver with 100 logged dives (25 of which must be deeper than 30m/100ft), minimum age 18

What will I learn?

Over a minimum of 4 dives and several theory sessions you’ll cover

• Advanced decompression dive planning
• Decompression diving procedures - including predive checks and drills, team awareness and communication, following a decompression schedule, gas switching, SMB deployment
• Equipment selection
• Proper trim, buoyancy and finning techniques
• Management of multiple (minimum of 3) decompression/stage cylinders
• Emergency procedures - equipment failures, catastrophic gas loss, omitted decompression, navigational errors, injured/unconscious diver
• Equipment considerations - cylinder labeling, analyzing trimix/nitrox and mixes, and gas blending procedures
