4 days                          4 dives                         $995

This class teaches you how to plan and execute dives to 60m/200ft using mixes of helium and oxygen (minimum 18%) to minimize the effects of narcosis.

This course is for certified Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures divers wishing to extend their depth range while reducing the effects of narcosis at depth.

Course prerequisites:

Advanced Nitrox diver and Decompression Procedures diver with 100 logged dives (25 of which must be deeper than 30m/100ft), minimum age 18

What will I learn?

Over a minimum of 4 dives and several theory sessions you’ll cover

  • Advanced decompression dive planning
  • Decompression diving procedures – including predive checks and drills; team awareness and communication, following a decompression schedule; gas switching; SMB deployment
  • Proper trim, buoyancy and finning techniques
  • Management of multiple decompression/stage cylinders
  • Emergency procedures - equipment failures, catastrophic gas loss, omitted decompression, navigational errors, injured/unconscious diver
  • Equipment considerations - cylinder labeling, analyzing trimix/nitrox and mixes and gas blending procedures
